· Asafoetida – a pinch
· Cloves – 5 to 7
· Carom seeds – 1/2 tsp.

Vital Tips:

While frying gathiya in hot oil, turn the flame to low so that you may not burn your hand. After adding gathiya, turn the flame to medium mode.

· Let Gathiya fry from one side and then turn them to the other side.

· Add water in batches. I used half a cup of water. The dough should not be too thick or too soft. The medium dough would be better.

· You can skip Eno fruit salt if you want.

· Use fresh besan/chickpea flour for a better result.
