For mango puree:
Mango chunks – 1/2 cup
Milk – or 1 glass or 1 cup
Sugar – 2 tbsp.
For mango falooda:
Sabja/basil seeds/takmariya/falooda seeds – 1 tbsp. (soak 30 minutes in 1/2 cup water)
Falooda sev/vermicelli – 3 tbsp.
Mango milkshake/puree – 1/4 cup in each glass
A scoop of vanilla ice cream – 1 scoop
Mango chunks (pieces) – 1/4 cup
Rose syrup – 2 tbsp. (optional)
Dry fruits chopped – for garnishing
Tutti-frutti – 2 tbsp.
Cherry – for garnishing
Servings: 2 persons
Preparation & cooking time: 15 minutes
· Mango falooda can be stored up to 24 hours in the refrigerator.
· Serve this chilled drink after lunch or dinner as a dessert.
· Boiled vermicelli can be stored up to 4 to 5 days in the refrigerator.
· Soaked basil seeds can also be stored in refrigerator up to 4 to 5 days.
· You may add any flavored ice cream to top up the falooda.
· You can add ice cream or dry fruits as per your choice.
· Use fresh and ripe mango for better taste. I used the Alphonso mangoes.
