This recipe video shows how to make temple style soft and spicy Ashtami-Navami prasad. Sukhe kale chane recipe is a Navratri special recipe. Sukhe kale chane is very popular for bhog or prasad during Navratri in north India. This Prasad is usually served with suji ka halwa and poori. Black grams are very delicious as well as nutritious because they are filled with protein and fiber.

You would empty your baskets of praises by making this delicious Navratri prasad. You can prepare this sukhe kale chane within few minutes at home. Whole black chickpeas are very nutritious and healthy. You may add this dish into your day to day breakfast recipe. Even you can add this as a kid’s tiffin box recipe. Preparation & cooking time – 20 minutes

Ingredients:

For stuffing masala:

· Black chickpeas – 1 cup (200 grams)
· Finely chopped Coriander leaves –1/4 cup
· Chopped green chills – 2 to 3
· Grated ginger – 1 tsp.
· Asafoetida – a pinch
· Oil – 1 tbsp.
· Ghee – 1 tbsp.
· Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp.
· Cumin coriander – 1 tsp.
· Red chili powder – 1/4 tsp.
· Mango powder – 1/4 tsp.
· Garam masala – 1/4 tsp.
Salt – 1/2 tsp. in boiling + 1/2 tsp. in the tempering process

Vital Tips:

If you want gravy in your curry you can add more water.
· While adding dry masala turn your flame on slow mode so that it does not burn.
· This is a Prasad recipe so it’s without onion garlic. Believe me, even without onion-garlic, sukhe chane goes well with suji halwa and poori.
· Use fresh curry leaves for better flavor.
