Curd – 1 cup
gram flour – 1/4 cup
water – 2.5 cups
salt to taste or – 1 tsp
Green chills and ginger paste – 1 tsp
mustard seeds – 1 tsp
cumin seeds – 1/3 tsp
fenugreek seeds – 1/3 tsp
black or green cardamom – 1
bay leaves – 1
curry leaves – 10 – 12
Asafoetida – a pinch
cloves – 3
black pepper – 5 to 7
cinnamon stick – 1
dry red chilies – 1 to 2
jaggery – 2-3 tbsp as per your taste
coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
ghee – 1 tbsp
vital Tips :-
While making kadhi from curd you have to pay attention to its texture. Because sometimes kadhi may lose its texture while adding it into hot tempering. you should turn off or you may add it into low flame only. you must have to keep stirring while adding it for at least 3 to 4 minutes.
In Gujarat kadhi you have to balance sweet and sour taste so you will have the exact taste of market style kadhi or marriage wali kadhi.
