Guvar Dhokli or guvariya muthiya or cluster beans curry recipe is a popular and traditional Guajarati dish and prepared with many fresh vegetables as well as combination of two to three flours like wheat flour, gram flour and millet flour.
This deliciously rich curry is usually enjoyed in winter and
monsoon season. Guwar Dhokli recipe video shows how to make tasty and spicy Dhokli easily. It is steam cooked Guajarati curry dish. Coriander leaves, wheat flour, millet flour, chickpea flour makes the recipe more nutritious and healthy. These vegetables are very delicious as well as nutritious and filled with protein and fibre. Serve hot cluster beans Dhokli curry as a lunch or dinner with green chutney or curd.

Servings: 2 to 3 person
Preparation & cooking time – 30 minutes
Ingredients:
For Dhokla making :

· Oil – 2 tbsp.
· Chickpea flour – 1/4 cup
· Wheat flour – 1/4 cup
· Millet flour – 1/4 cup
· Sesame seeds – 1 tsp.
· Carom seeds – 1/2 tsp.
· Finely chopped, washed coriander leaves – 1 cup (drain totally water from methi)
· Ginger, garlic, green chili paste – 1 tsp. (garlic optional)
· Asafoetida – a pinch
· Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp.
· Red chili powder – 1 tsp.
· Garam masala – 1/4 tsp.
· Salt – to taste
· Lemon – half piece
· Baking/cooking soda – 1/4 tsp.
· Water – (if required) 1 to 2 tbsp.·
For cluster beans curry :
· Cluster beans rough chopped – 1 cup
· Potatoes – 2 medium size (optional)
· Onion finely chopped(optional) – 1 medium size
· Tomatoes finely chopped – 2 medium size
· Ginger, garlic paste – 1 tsp. (garlic optional)
· Carom seeds – 1/2 tsp.
· Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp.
· Asafoetida – a pinch
· Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp.
· Red chili powder – 2 tsp.
· Cumin-coriander powder – 1 tsp.
· Salt – to taste
· Water – 1 to 2 tbsp.
· Coriander leaves for garnishing
Vital Tips:
· Cook Dhokli on medium flame only otherwise it will burn.
· It can be served as a kid's lunch box recipe, lunch or as a dinner. Serve it with rice, roti
or curd/buttermilk with Papad.
· If you are Jain or Swami Narayan you can skip adding onion garlic.
· Use fresh and tender cluster beans for better results.
