Modak is a dessert which is prepared by Hindus on the festival of holy Ganesh Chaturthi (on the occasion of the birthday of Lord Ganesh) in the worship of Lord Ganesh. The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is incomplete without any flavor of Modak because Lord Ganesh loves Modak. People usually make it for puja and serve as prasad after completing rituals. You can easily prepare this tasty chocolate modak in 15 minutes at home without taking anybody’s help. It is no cook no mess recipe without lighting the gas stove very low and cheap price.

Preparation & cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
Parle-G biscuits – 250 grams
Powder sugar – 2 tbsp.
Grated coconut – 3 tbsp.
Cocoa powder – 2 tbsp.
Vanilla essence or chocolate essence (optional) – 1tsp
Chocolate syrup – 2 tbsp.
Milk – 3 tbsp.

Storage Instructions:

· This recipe can be stored up to 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator.
· Serve this in puja and for lunch or dinner as a dessert.
Vital Tips:
· You can also add dry fruits as per your choice and availability.
· You can skip essence if it is not available and may add sugar as per your taste.
· I have used Mapro’s chocolate syrup. You can use Hershey’s chocolate syrup as well.
· You can also add milkmaid or condensed milk instead of sugar powder.
